Ingredients:
1 large spanish onion
125ml buttermilk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
96g unbleached all-purpose flour
96g panko bread crumbs
2.5g baking powder
2.5g Cayenne pepper, to taste Salt
Directions:
1. Start by cutting your onion into 1/2 thick rings and separate. Smaller pieces can be discarded or saved for other recipes.
2. Beat the eggs in a large bowl and mix in the buttermilk, then set it aside. In another bowl combine flour, pepper, bread crumbs, and baking powder.
3. Use a large spoon to dip a whole ring in the buttermilk, then pull it through the flour mix on both sides to completely coat the ring.
4. Cook about 8 rings at a time in your Tower air fryer for 8-10 minutes at 180°C shaking half way through.
