[Company] a division of [Company] has an immediate opening for a SMART InterventionSM Trainee Engineer for the Middle East Asia Pacific Region, working out of Dubai. The Smart Intervention Trainee will follow a comprehensive training program, work at the rig site and assist in the office during job preparation and close-out.
SMART InterventionSM is a new and innovative service utilizing proven INTEQ MWD technologies to enhance BOT Wellbore Intervention operations and performance. Current projects include optimizing casing exit and milling operations, improving fishing success and efficiencies, and optimizing workover and wellbore cleaning operations.
The opportunity to expand your horizon and be part of a team to establish Baker Oil Tools Wellbore Intervention services as the market leader, utilizing cross-divisional thinking, cooperation and application of[Company] .
Responsibilities
- Complete [Company] training directly associated with operational features and application of the product lines both on and off the field location.
- Initially, your responsibility would be limited to projects of minimal complexity, scope and impact. As you gain more skills and experience, your scope would widen.
- Once you have completed your training period, your assignment would be outlined to you in detail. You would receive close supervision on almost all aspects of the project you are taking part of.
- Coordinate the execution of SMART Intervention operations
- Responsible for all aspects of the MWD data gathering process for the Smart Intervention Service on the rigsite
- Perform engineering calculations e.g. BHASysPro, Advantage Torque & Drag
- Liaise with customer and other BOT representative to ensure smooth operation and understanding of job requirements
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, with an excellent standing.
- General knowledge of basic engineering and business principles.
- Knowledge of metallurgy, materials and petroleum engineering concepts.
- Minimum 1 year oil field experience
Skills Requirement
- Good communication skills are a must
- General operating knowledge of drilling and workover rigs preferred
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities to use own initiative
- Commitment to customer service and ability to work both individually and in a team-oriented cross-divisional environment
- Proficient computer skills
